So, my brother Kai informed me I hadn't updated my blog in awhile. I guess I better do it before I start school on Monday. Thanks, Kai!
So, Summer has been busy. We went camping to Northern Idaho near Lowell. Beautiful country. JJ and Jace both had fun in the water and enjoying the weather. We were able to bring Bud's niece Jordan, who I think enjoyed herself as well.
It was a wonderful camping trip and was very enjoyable despite the 7 hour drive and a dead battery in our Suburban. Thanks, to the guy who stopped and jumped us so we could get home. JJ took swimming lessons this summer as well. He learned alot and really enjoyed the water, his pool mates and teachers. I was proud of him.

Then we had the Morrison Family Back to School Pool Party. It was great fun. My dad wanted to try the Lily Pads. We were worried about his new hip replacement but he was determined to get across. He did great.

We have a wonderful summer and look forward to the Fall season.
Sorry about the double pictures. I couldn't delete them...anyone knows how...let me know...

JJ's Birthday

JJ turned 4 on June 5th. I can't believe my baby boy is that old now. Pretty soon he will start school. He is growing up fast. We had a birthday party for him on Saturday and it turned out great. We had so much fun. He loved his party and hanging out with all the kids.

He wanted a Spongebob Party so that's what he got. I even made a Spongebob cake and I think it turned out cute. We had Krabby Patties, Barnacle Dogs, Choral Chips, Seaweed Salad and Fish Eggs. All the food was wonderful. We had Jellyfish hanging from the ceiling. The kids played Pin the Squarepants on Spongebob, which was fun.

We had a pinata which all the kids loved because there was a ton of candy. They all got a turn to whack it. We also had a Plankton toss where you threw water balloons at Plankton. That was a huge success and even the adults got in on the fun.

We even got to take pictures with Spongebob which the kids enjoyed.

JoLynn with Spongebob Then it was JJ's favorite part...presents. He got sidewalk chalk, clothes, a swimming pool, a new Spongebob fishing pole, Legos, Nerf shooter, money and his new truck, F150. He loved it. What a fun party we had. It was wonderful having friends and family come and make the day special for JJ...

We went for a family drive the other day. I love to take these drives and it gives me a chance to use my camera for stuff other than babies and people. We went to Shoshone Falls. It is beautiful. The water is really high this year and it looked breathtaking. JJ loved looking at the waterfall. The rainbow and spray coming off the Falls is so exciting.

We then went to Dierkes Lake and let JJ run around. He loved playing on the toys. He loves being outdoors.

He wanted a picture with him and his brother sitting on the rocks. He loves his Baby Jace.
It was a beautiful day for a family road trip. Even though we only live a few miles away it was well worth the drive in the car.

I broke out my sewing machine the other day and made a baby blanket for one of Bud's cousins. I think it turned out cute. I forgot how much I loved to sew. It was such fun and gives me another thing to work on. I decided that I would make some quilt blocks as well. I went down to the fabric store and bought some kits. I am going to make a quilt for my friend Marsha and one for my mother in law as well. I love the colors in both quilts and am looking forward to making them. It's not like I have other projects to work on...Ha Ha. ( Marsha's Quilt)..I always have something to do...(My mother in law's quilt.) Guess I will be making quilt blocks for awhile. It should be fun. I really enjoy it. Thanks to my mom for giving me the talent and love to do these kinds of things. It runs in the family. Grandma Hitchcock was always quilting and I remember her letting us do little stitches on the quilt she had on the frames. Grandma was so talented and I love the quilt I have that she made for me. It is a treasured piece. Mom is the same way and the quilts she makes are treasured as well. I am so thankful for the talent and love mom and Grandma...

We blessed Baby Jace on Sunday at my parents house. My brother Kai did the blessing for us. It was great to have the whole family there except Rhubin, my brother in law, who was working. We missed you there, Rhubin. The blessing was wonderful. I am an inactive member but I do still believe in the teachings of what I was taught growing up. I loved the blessing my brother gave to the baby. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to share this with my parents, siblings and all nieces and nephews. My mom made a wonderful meal and the kids enjoyed playing outside. I love spending time with my family and I don't get there nearly as much as I would like. JJ loves playing with Shaleen. They are "best buddies". He especially loves his Aunt JoJo and is always sad to leave. I always have to have her put him in the car or we have a fight and crying fit for miles. He is ready to visit again already. I can't wait to visit again either.

These are some black and whites of my two boys. They are about the same age in the picture. I just wanted to see how much a like they are. They have their differences but I think you can tell they are siblings. What do you all think?

I thought I would start a blog to keep everyone updated. Another thing to keep up with but will keep family and friends current on the going ons of the Maxwell Family.

JJ is 3 years old. His birthday is coming up and he is so excited for a birthday party. I guess I will have to plan one. He keeps telling me things he needs...cake, punch, candy and don't forget presents are what orders I have currently. He currently likes watching Imagination Movers and of course Spongebob. He makes me laugh everyday and his imagination is amazing. The things he thinks of to play.

Baby Jace is 6 weeks old now. He eats, sleeps, poops and occasionally cries. He is a good baby. He is staying awake more these days and his beautiful blue eyes are so captivating. I love to just look at him. My little old man.

Bud is staying busy with work, hunting and tinkering with his pickup truck.

I am just a stay at home mom and keeps busy with my boys. I am excited to start school in August.
